We’re edging ever closer to the end of production on Season 4, #410 goes in front of cameras tomorrow, and there’s only a few more weeks to go until the cast & crew wrap up filming, take a short break and then dive into season 5!

Spoiler prevention is in full effect, so it seriously quiet last week, causing withdrawal symptoms to crank up a notch!

Season 4’s trailer should hopefully drop soon (please let it drop soon, we need a fix!), and we’ll get to see some of the upcoming action and new characters. And speaking of new faces, Jonathan Howard will recur as ‘James Fletcher’ a British Navy Commander and MI-6 agent. The actor dropped a photo on Instagram this week with the legendary Peter Weller. Mr Weller will also be gracing our screens this season as Dr Vellek, as well as taking off camera duties as director.

While we’ve not seen season 4 yet, we did get some early season 5 news with the announcement that Emerson Brooks is also being promoted to full series regular (alongside Jodie Turner-Smith). Congratulations Emerson, that’s awesome and we can’t wait to see how ‘Capt. Meylan’ fits permanently into the dynamic on the Nathan James!

We got a teeny, tiny, sneak peak of Travis Van Winkle and Jodie Turner-Smith prepping for some sort of stunt involving RHIBs!

Cameron Fuller took full advantage of Ben Cho‘s little nap time, and when you snooze you lose… well, you get pranked on twitter by cast mates!

Looks like they were also working with bossman Eric Dane!

And shared a little Friday fun from set.

It looks like Kevin Michael Martin, besides being throughly hilarious, might have a few aspirations to direct?

And Jocko Sims helped celebrate the fantastic news that both Jodie and Emerson are on board full-time for season 5!

ICYMI, Jocko celebrated his birthday a couple of weeks ago and these beauties were one of his gifts. We have serious sneaker envy!

One of the major highlights of last week was GradientFX dropping a new reel of their work from season 3! There’s a few extended shots of scenes in this, and a fantastic look at some of the incredible work that goes into making the world of The Last Ship seem very real.

And that was week 16 of filming!  We’ll have another round-up on Saturday for this weeks fun, and as usual if you’ve spotted anything we’ve missed, drop us a note on Twitter or via email info@thelastship.tv.
